Job Summary
Responsible for ERP System maintenance in all Purchasing related areas to include Vendor
Contracts, Vendor Contracts Pricing, Regular and Blanket Purchase Orders and Item costs.
Additional responsibilities include Approved Supplier List (ASL) maintenance, QN support, APQP
Support, Purchase Order Creation and Monitoring to support prototype, pre-launch and
production requirements for Versailles, KY (D1), Easley, SC (D3), Painesville, OH (D5) and
Aguascalientes, MX (D6) manufacturing locations.
Responsibilities
Maintains Purchase Orders and Requisitions in a timely manner
Maintains the Approved Supplier List and supporting documentation
Maintains Supplier Request for Change tracking
Maintains Engineering Notification tracking and new ERP items
Assist Buyer(s) in launching new components for PPAP
Additional APQP support my be required
May be assigned specific quoting tasks (new or existing)
Provide input to Purchasing team members relating to supplier concerns
Minority and Women Owned Business management support
NAFTA documentation tracking support
Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The ability to communicate at a high level, both receiving and disseminating information
for clear understanding
Frequently communicates with internal customers and external suppliers to understand
their requests
Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems at a professional level
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Fluent in Spanish is a plus but not required
Experience Requirements
High School Diploma and relevant experience in the field or a related area
Previous purchasing related experience in materials and/or negotiations strongly
preferred
Results oriented
Excellent Team Skills/Collaboration
Demonstrated track record of partnering with business leaders in order to achieve
objectives
Physical Requirements Essential to Perform Duties of the Job
Frequently remains in sitting position to perform duties at desk and on computer
Frequently communicates with employees, customers and suppliers to understand their
requests
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time; Rarely lifts > 25 pounds
Frequently uses hands, wrists, fingers to type on a keyboard
Occasional travel to various business locations or business related functions via
automobile or airplane
